COVID- 19 Announcement
If you are currently sick or know that you have been exposed to the coronavirus, please let us know and reschedule your appointment. We will be screening patients outside tomorrow and will continue until this issue has been resolved. For the safety of our staff and other patients, we will limit the number of people allowed in the patient’s rooms in the back of the office. Unless the patient is a minor or needs assistance, only the patient will be allowed in the patient room to see the provider. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this matter.
“ALERT: FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, AND OUR STAFF, WE ARE ENCOURAGING OUR PATIENTS TO UTILIZE OUR TELEMEDICINE SERVICES, IF/WHEN POSSIBLE, IN LIEU OF ON-SITE TREATMENT DURING THE COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC. YOU CAN CONTACT US AT 229-247-2290 OR BY EMAIL AT firstname.lastname@example.org, WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR TO INQUIRE ABOUT CHANGING YOUR CURRENTLY SCHEDULED IN-OFFICE APPOINTMENT TO A TELEMEDICINE VISIT OR YOU CAN SET UP A NEW APPOINTMENT.”
Almost all health insurance payers have agreed to pay for telemedicine as a regular office visit. We will be offering these type of visits for routine follow up appointments and or MRI/procedure follow up appointments. If an X Ray is needed prior to the appointment we will determine this during the appointment scheduling process and provide you with a simple process for the patient to come in the side door at VOA and get an X-ray while no other patients are in the building and then leave. This process will allow you to wait in your vehicle, until your turn and you will enter once the previous patient has exited the building. We will then schedule the telemedicine appointment later that afternoon.
We may require you to email or text a copy of your current ID, insurance card and email back a signed copy or verbal agreement of the telemedicine consent.
We will be using ZOOM as the communication tool. You will need to have an active email account. We will use that email account to send you and email with a link to your appointment. You will then have to click the link via your phone or computer that has audio and video capabilities.
