Healthcare Orderly/Maintenance 

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for coordinating his or her activities in different areas into a smoothly functioning system for the facility. The Maintenance Technician must show initiative and enthusiasm in performing job responsibilities, be able to accept instruction and constructive criticism and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Equipment maintenance and trouble shooting of systems
  • Maintenance of building
  • Run errands, picks up and delivers supplies or other items as instructed
  • Removes trash and laundry between surgical cases from patient areas to designated storage area
  • Mops floors using proper techniques and agents
  • Assists with patient transportation to and from the OR and to patients car at discharge
  • Performs routine housekeeping chores during the day, such as cleaning up spills, cleaning stretchers, equipment, restrooms, public areas, and bio-hazard medical waste
  • Assists health care team when and as requested or needed
  • Receive laundry and distribute
  • Order housekeeping supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be in good physical health and be able to lift 20 pounds or more
  • Background in maintenance and cleaning with some carpentry and electrical skills preferred
  • High School diploma is required

Certified Physical Therapist

Job Summary

Valdosta Orthopedic Associates is searching for a part time Physical Therapist who is focused on quality patient care, superior outcomes and enjoy being a part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Dedicated to achieving the highest quality of care optimizing superior clinical outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate patient’s case history, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions to determine the patients’ potential for rehabilitation.
  • Establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance and in accordance with physician orders.
  • Educate patient, document and record the patient’s condition and provide continuing updates on patient condition.
  • Examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
  • Comply with both federal and state guidelines, including all licensing requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in orthopedic and manual therapy skills
  • Experience in dry needling
  • Current License in the State of Georgia
  • Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current CPR certification

Physical Therapist Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide treatment under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist in carrying out patient treatment programs, providing treatment that improves mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or lessens physical disabilities of patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved program for Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Current Georgia Physical Therapist Assistant licensure
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare providers
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and attentive to details
  • Skill to work in a team oriented environment
  • Computer skills; ability to use electronic medical record
  • Must specialize or have extensive experience in back and spine therapy
