Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. James Goss was born in Fort Madison, Iowa. He attended University of Iowa and Florida International University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1972. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979 from the University of Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship in 1980 at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, N. Y.

His residency in orthopedic surgery was completed in 1984 at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N. Y. Dr. Goss also completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics in 1985 at Cornell Hospital for Special Surgery in N. Y.

Dr. Goss’ area of interest within his specialty includes Sports Medicine, Spine Surgery, Total Joint Replacements, Joint Reconstructions, and fractures.

Dr.Goss is a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, a member of The Southern Orthopedic Society, The Eastern Orthopedic Association, and South Georgia Medical Society (Lowndes County).

Dr.Goss is married to Carmina Goss and has 7 children named Nicole, Erica, Lisa, Jaime, Victoria, Rachael, and Adam. He is a member of St. John’s The Evangelist Catholic Church. Dr. Goss is an active motorcycle enthusiast, outdoorsman, and loves spending time playing with his children.
