Leah Bagley was born and raised in Middletown, OH. During her second year of college, she enlisted in the Air Force National Guard. Leah graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Bowling Green State University after working for 3 years as a domestic violence/sexual violence advocate.

Leah’s husband Josh, who is in the active duty Air Force, received orders to Moody AFB in 2017. Leah has previously worked locally at South Georgia Medical Center as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, as well as worked at Colquitt Regional Medical Center as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.

Leah currently serves in the Georgia Air National Guard with the 116th Medical Detachment as the Officer in Charge of Search and Extraction. Her unit is specialized in medical response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear warfare.

In 2019, Leah graduated from Valdosta State University (VSU) with her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and then obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. During her time at VSU, Leah was very active in the Graduate College of Nursing and was awarded the Student Blazer Award. Leah continues to be active in the nursing profession and is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, and is an alumna of Delta Zeta- Gamma Tau Chapter. In December 2020, Leah graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP), which is the highest level of education for the nursing profession. Leah is a certified teacher of mindfulness, and her DNP capstone focused on Mindfulness in Nurses.
