Dr. Aguero graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Valdosta State University in 1982. Here he received the Anne Poe Hopper Award for the Outstanding Senior Student at Valdosta State University. He received his Medical Degree from The Medical College of Georgia in 1987. His internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery were completed at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine (Chattanooga Unit) in 1993.

Dr. Aguero was Board Certified by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1995, and re-certified in 2006.

Dr. Aguero’s area of interest in his specialty includes Total Joint Replacement, Joint Reconstruction, Sports Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Aguero is a Fellow of The Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, a member of The Medical Association of Georgia, and The South Georgia Medical Society (Lowndes County).

He is wedded to Lisa Aguero, P.T. and has two children named Haley and Kimsey. He is a member of CrossPointe Church. Dr. Aguero is an avid fisherman and has been named a local Bass Angler of the Year numerous times. He holds over 100 distinctions and honors from fishing tournaments. Dr. Aguero also enjoys hunting and spending time with his children.
