At Valdosta Orthopedic Associates, whether you come in for a planned visit, routine follow-up, or emergency, we want to ease your concerns and make the process as comfortable as possible. We know that pain doesn't just hurt - it disrupts your entire life. A doctor visit can bring anxiety, so we aim to give you peace of mind by going above and beyond and offering extraordinary care.
What to Expect:
Our orthopedic evaluations are customized to meet your needs. We approach each appointment with the understanding that you're a unique individual with unique circumstances. Your orthopedic evaluation will usually consist of one or more of the following:
- A thorough review of your medical history through paperwork and discussion
- A comprehensive physical examination
- Diagnostic testing to determine your exact issue
- Imaging studies to visualize any damage or underlying problems
- Lab work, if needed
What to Bring With You:
For your first visit, be sure to bring the following:
- Picture ID
- Insurance Card
- Any x-rays
- List of current prescriptions
During your visit, we'll assess your overall health, your current level of pain, and possible causes of discomfort. Additionally, your doctor will evaluate how your pain affects your ability to accomplish everyday activities, such as standing up, walking, sitting down, and lying down. This comprehensive examination, along with appropriate tests, helps us confirm or rule out possible diagnoses and create the right treatment plan for you.
