Dr. Sanderlin was born and raised in Americus, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia in 1993.


He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his orthopedic residency training at the nationally renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2002.


During residency, Dr. Sanderlin earned the distinction for finest performance in surgery and received the prestigious Joe Sam Robinson Prize in Surgery.
