He went on to receive his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1997. Dr. Sanderlin completed his orthopedic residency in 2002 at the renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned the distinction with the finest performance in surgery and was awarded the Joe Sam Robinson Prize in Surgery.

Dr. Sanderlin’s minimally invasive procedures have earned him high acclaim among the finest surgeons in the country. Among his capabilities are minimally invasive procedures and ligamentous repairs (all performed arthroscopically), rotator cuff repairs, and ACL reconstruction.

He is a fellow of the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2004 and is also board-certified in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Sanderlin also maintains his stature as the team physician for many local high school athletic programs. 

In his free time, Dr. Sanderlin is an avid outdoorsman and spends his free time fishing, hunting, and traveling to various parts of the world. He has three children – Taylor, Gracyn, and Charlie.
