Eric Gee, MD, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified spine surgeon with the orthopedic surgery team at Valdosta Orthopedic Associates in Valdosta, Georgia. He specializes in both invasive and non-invasive spine surgery, treating conditions of the neck, back, and spine, as well as providing expert fracture care.


Dr. Gee is known for his precision, advanced surgical techniques, and patient-centered approach to spine care, helping patients regain function and improve quality of life.

Education & Training

Dr. Gee was born in Valdosta, Georgia, and completed his undergraduate education at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, where he graduated magna cum laude and at the top of his class in 1997.


He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia in 2002, graduating with honors. He then completed:


  • Orthopedic Surgery Internship – Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (2003)
  • Orthopedic Surgery Residency – Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (2007)
  • Orthopedic Spine Surgery Fellowship – Florida Orthopedic Institute, Tampa, FL (2008)


Dr. Gee became board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2010.

Dr. Gee is married to Dr. Stephanie Gee, and together they have three children: Lauren, Will, and Alex. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, practicing martial arts, and participating in long-distance running.
