Steven Cowart, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult joint reconstruction and comprehensive orthopedic care at Valdosta Orthopedic Associates in Valdosta, Georgia. Education & Training
Dr. Cowart was born and raised in South Georgia. He graduated magna cum laude from both the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), where he earned his Doctor of Medicine.
While at MCG, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, recognizing excellence in academic achievement and leadership in medicine.
He completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident of Orthopedic Surgery in 2017.
Dr. Cowart then completed additional fellowship training in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2018.
