Jesse Raszewski, DO, USAR, is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who has undergone state-of-the-art advanced training in foot and ankle surgery. He is dedicated to providing high-quality orthopaedic surgery and care to patients and families at Valdosta Orthopedic Associates in Valdosta, Georgia.
Dr. Raszewski was raised in the small city of Glassport, a suburb outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society. He then obtained his master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Drexel University College of Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10% and was inducted into the Bloomsbury International Honor Society. He went on to attend medical school at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honor Society.
Dr. Raszewski completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency training at the respected program of Kettering Health – Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. During his tenure, he received numerous distinctions, including the M.D. Carter Award presented to the Intern of the Year, Emerging Leader presented by the American Orthopaedic Association, and the AOFAS Resident Scholar presented by the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation. He served as Chief Resident for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2023. He went on to further sub-specialize his surgical training at The University of Texas Health Center at Houston (UTHealth) – McGovern Medical School in Foot & Ankle Surgery with world-renowned leaders in the field.
Dr. Raszewski has published a multitude of journal articles and book chapters and has presented these findings on a national level in his pursuit to advance patient care. He offers comprehensive care for a broad array of orthopaedic conditions of both the upper and lower extremities. He has specialized training to perform Robot-assisted arthroplasty, advanced imaging-specific 3D printed replacement of the ankle, and minimally invasive surgery to provide patients with the most advanced and curated plans based on their individual anatomy.
Dr. Raszewski maintains professional memberships with various organizations, including the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics (AOAO).
Dr. Raszewski is currently a commissioned Officer for the United States Army Reserve, where he uses his expertise to serve as an orthopaedic surgeon for this great country. He and his wife, Ashley, look forward to joining the community here in Valdosta and serving it proudly.
